On Monday, the Washington Wizards lost a random-drawing tie breaker to the Indiana Pacers to determine their final spot in the 2023 NBA Draft. The Wizards now have the eighth-best odds in the lottery. The Pacers will only have a 0.1 better odds due to the tiebreaker.
The Wiz now have a 6.7% chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick and 28.9% odds of selecting in the top four.
Check out the Wizards' odds for every pick on lottery night (via Tankathon):

That may not sound great but miracles have happened in the past. Check out 4 teams over the past 20 years that have struck gold on lottery night.
2019, New Orleans Pelicans: 6% -- Zion Williamson
2005, Milwaukee Bucks: 6.3% -- Andrew Bogut

Point Guards to have your eye one
Now let's talk prospects. There are 2 point guards that the Wizards may target to fill the PG position who can run an offense and get our guys more open shots (assuming WUJ can put some better plays together next season):
Anthony Black, Arkansas
Statistics: 12.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.2 apg, 2.0 spg, 3.2 to/g
Black could be a perfect match for the Wizards due to his height and versatility at point guard. If the team selects him, it would provide them with a long-term solution at that position for the first time since John Wall. Additionally, with players like Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis on their roster, the Wizards could have a size advantage by adding Black to their starting lineup.
Cason Wallace, Kentucky
Statistics: 11.6 ppg, 4.2 apg, 3.5 rpg, 2.0 spg
Wallace could be a solid option for the Wizards as a point guard who brings size and defensive capabilities to the team. Although he may not be an elite scorer at this time, Wallace's ability to run an offense and serve as a glue guy could be valuable for the Wizards.
