What KP said about the Wizards LOSS to the Magic

Wizards Newswire

The Wizards lost their 3rd game in a row to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night and the prospect of making it into the post-season feels like it's slowly slipping away. This was a must-win game and now the Wizards are 2.5 games out of play-in spot behind the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls.

The Wizards were expected to win this game given that Orlando is a below .500 team and in our last 2 match-ups we beat the the Magic by double digits. After the game, Wes Unseld Jr. explained his thoughts on expectations going into the game.

"I'm not sure why we would think we would just be able to walk into a win, we got to earn it, we got to take it. We're not good enough to just assume that we can just flip a switch and all of a sudden things are just gonna go our way"

Coach Wes Unseld Jr.

With Kuzma out and Beal struggling in general this game, Kristaps Porzingas stepped up and led the Wizards in scoring with 30 points and 6 rebounds. When asked about where the team stands now with regards to cohesion here's what he had to say...

"I think we are good. I cannot say that is not one of our issues...off the court we have great chemistry, we're just not playing good basketball and that's the reality...we're not winning games."

Time is running out and if the Wizards coaching staff don't make some changes to their strategy we are gonna lose our shot at the play-offs and if that happens we could end up losing a lot more.
